2012 Ohio Democratic Party Legacy Dinner

On Friday 2 March 2012, Hancock County Democrats are invited to join Former Governor Ted Strickland and Ohio Supreme Court Associate Justice Yvette McGee Brown in honoring the service and legacy of President Barack Obama and Senator Sherrod Brown. Special Guest Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Chair of the Democratic National Committee, will be on hand as well, paying tribute to the honorees.


Democrats wishing to attend this dinner should contact the Chair at Nancy.Stephani@gmail.com or the Secretary at jgcecil@gmail.com in order to secure reservations. Individuals wishing to attend will be made aware of the location, time and cost of the dinner as soon as details are made available.

Election of Executive Committee Officers

At the General Meeting to be held 12 March, 2012, an election shall be held for Officers of the Executive Committee. The slate will include: Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. Those wishing to become candidates for these offices must be a member of the Central or Executive Committees for the two-year term expiring in 2014. Appointments to the Central or Executive Committees may be made at any General Meeting held before the Election of Officers. Appointees must not have voted in a Republican Primary for a minimum of two election cycles. Hancock County, Ohio Democratic Party General Meeting

The next General Meeting of the Hancock County Democratic Party will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, 13 February 2012, in Findlay City Council Chambers, 318 Dorney Plaza. Meetings are generally held the second Monday of each month in the same location, excepting December. The March meeting will be held on 12 March.

We had a great turnout for our first “You’re Invited for Coffee” event; a casual conversation about the issues facing our community, state and country. Ohio Democratic Party Campaign Schools

The ODP has scheduled 'Campaign Schools' in Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati. Participants will learn and develop skills to assist them in running more effective campaigns. The cost is only $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

Each session begins at 8:30 am and ends at 5:00 pm, with lunch provided.
